we are committed

At Juniper we are committed to nurturing the spirit of life in each individual we serve so that they may live fully throughout all seasons of life. To us this means understanding an individual, not only their needs but their desires and responding with programs and services which provide for the highest quality of life possible. Our Alive in All Seasons program of activities is designed to foster healthy bodies, enriched minds and fulfilled spirits. These pictures and stories are living proof that we at Juniper are dedicated to walking our talk!

Trip to Naples Museum of Art

A beautiful June afternoon was spent experiencing a vast array of artwork at the Naples Museum of Art.  While touring, our residents were privileged to meet Stephen Knapp, the artist responsible for "Lightpaintings".  Mr. Knapp was able to explain his unique works which use a special treated glass that separates light into different frequencies of the spectrum.  His exhibit transforms the gallery environment and envelopes viewers in glowing colors. Our Connections Program is responsible for these varied cultural outings and continually seeks fresh venues through which we nurture the spirit of life in our much-loved residents.

Father's Day Wild Wild West Luncheon

Juniper Village at Naples set the stage for a Wild West Luncheon honoring fathers, and others, on their special day. Luncheon fare featured Cowboy BBQ Beef Brisket, Hot-Off-The-Trail Baked Beans, Cactus-Style Cole Slaw and Country Folk Cornbread. Even though the saloon was closed, entertainment was provided by James Steven Farnsworth and his fantastic fiddle. Even the cowgirls got in on the fun!

As you can see, Sheriff Billie Ray was in no mood for any outlaw shenanigans.

Juniper Lunch Bunch

The Juniper Village at Naples bus is frequently seen out and about in town on exciting adventures. In keeping with our quarterly Alive in all Seasons healthy aging theme, our residents feasted on a healthy lunch of Asian specialities at Blue Fish. These stimulating outings provide opportunities for our residents to feel meaningfully engaged in the community-at-large. Connections Director, Julie Badour, arranges these resident outings 3 to 4 times a month. Future planned outings include trips to the Naples Museum of Art, the Humane Society of Naples, Mel's Diner, and several scenic tours.
