Juniper Residents Celebrate Haitian Flag Day

May 18th is the day Haiti celebrates their Flag Day.  This day symbolizes pride, unity, and individual liberty.  We at Juniper Village of Naples embrace family traditions and holidays.  Many of our caregivers come from Haiti and helped to make this celebration a huge success.  Entertainment was provided by "Les Voyageurs Celestes", a band formed in Florida with Haitian musicians.   Traditional cuisine was prepared by Izzy, Juniper's Dietary Manager.  Happy Flag Day to our extended family.

Flower Arranging

The residents at Juniper Village explore their creativity with weekly flower arranging.  This event is made possible by the donation of flowers and plants from Trader Joes.  Residents will use the raised gardens to plant the herbs.  These will be harvested for future cooking club projects.

Family Fun Day

Skunks and iguanas and panthers…OH MY! Juniper Village at Naples turned into a zoo with the help of Kowiachobee animal preserve. They were on site with their many furry friends, which included a skunk, panther, iguana and tortoise. Robby the Ringmaster delighted residents with his magical feats. Residents, families and friends enjoyed the wholesome day of fun.
