Awaken Your Passion: February Events

This February our Alive in All Seasons’ theme is Art: “Awaken Your Passion”. In a moving quote from Honoré de Balzac we are reminded that art and passion are inextricably linked; he states, “passion is universal humanity; without it, religion, history, romance and art would be useless.” Art is truly a conduit that allows us to experience the richness and brilliance of all that life has to offer. Art can have a profound effect upon us by providing nourishment to our spirit and soul.

As you know there is always something special going on here at Juniper Village at Naples and this February we will celebrate another wonderful month filled with memories, laughter and the opportunity to create! This month we will open ourselves to various forms of art. We will be taking field trips to local museums, learning about the Great Masters, and creating masterpieces of our own using various mediums.

Please join us for our Sweetheart Family Luncheon from noon to 1:00 pm on February 14^th, our 4^th Annual Resident Art Exhibit and Sale featuring wine and appetizers that benefits the Alzheimer’s Support Network from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on February 26^th, and our Friends of Debbie Family Council from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm on February 27^th. We encourage you to review our newsletter calendar for other offerings and attend any or all of the activities that are of interest to you.

Juniper Village Hosts It's First Annual Talent Show

Juniper village at Naples was the stage for a talent show contest. Participants included residents and staff. Some of the featured acts included a painter, dancers, guitarist and a doughnut decorator. The winning duo included Valery, Resident Assistant, and Lulu a resident with twinkle toes that just don't stop. The event was judged by family members and residents. January is the month that our "Alive in All Seasons" theme celebrates music so this was a wonderful way to showcase some of our musical talents. Remember you have a year to come up with your act...don't be shy!

Juniper Village at Naples Fourth Annual Art Auction

Not a Rembrandt, not a Picasso, but an original Art From the Heart masterpiece. Juniper Gallery will host a mix and mingle art sale February 26th from 4:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. The proceeds from the sale will benefit Alzheimer's Support Network. The residents of Juniper Village at Naples have awakened their passion for art. Don't miss this opportunity to join friends and families for a worthy cause.

Juniper Village at Naples Has a Jam Session

Bob Shea local entertainer hosted a jam session with our very own resident Bill. The good old boys from Kentucky played country western favorites from the 1940's. Residents enjoyed singing and dancing to the favorite hits. Thank you to Bob Shea and friends for volunteering your time for this special event.
